The barn where I train has a wonderful collection of horse people. All of them have special gifts but one in particular has made a big impression on me and I would like to share her story. She is a lady in her 60s with a wonderful French accent. She was a judge, lead a very busy and high stress life, and had nothing to do with horses. One day she was diagnosed with cancer. Her treatment was not going well and she thought she did not have long left of this lifetime. She has a twin sister in Quebec whose passion are horses and who just purchased her own horse farm. My friend has been afraid of horses her entire life but something told her to go and live with her twin sister on her farm and to get over her fears. And so she did. Her soul journey is long and personal but what you need to know is that she fell in love with horses, allowed them to do their magic, and today she is cancer free. She is convinced that these amazing creatures healed her. When she came back to Ontario she took up riding lessons and bought the horse she’s been learning with. She is at the barn every day spending time with her beautiful horse, she is the most elegant lady on the premises, and she is simply a beautiful human being. Having worked as a judge and having this incredible spiritual experience have made her one of the wisest women I’ve ever met – in every sense. Like pulling a sleigh, horses have pulled her out of her old unserving reality, and into the new and shining present moment. This one is for you my beautiful friend – may your heart sing always!
